I have a 40 watt UHF GM300 I would like to tune down to 10 watts? Is
this a safe level to set to on the 40 watt units? I heard that if the
power level is set too low it will cause spurs? What is the lowest
power level I can set the amp to?

Yes please do use a fan. I have seen that even though you reduce power you
are correct that too low makes the radio unstable in many ways. Lower RF
output does not mean lower current draw, it will drop to one point but then

Shack connectors on my APC to N-female adapters... needless to say, he
destroyed them. I searched high and low and finally wound up ordering from

Hi Bob, thanks for the input. I have one of those here already. Although I think it is behaving for the time being. I just have aquired one of these Standard Repeaters as well as an amp, hoping the amp will come down into the ham bands with ease. I hooked up the repeater, seems to sound ok.
