Be very careful with the power supplies for motor homes and trailers. My friends have had very bad luck with them. Basically they are power supplies for the vehicle and the high amp range is for the utilities within. 10 amps is more than sufficient to keep a battery bank up and running.

Hello Group, Did you think about the West Mountain Radio PWRgate. I think it has all the capabilities you are looking for, even a 3 stage charger so you don't boil your batteries to death. Here is the one I use. http://www.impulseelectronics.com/pwrgate_super.htm and here is some more

I have to agree with Paul. Yellow top batteries are not all they are cracked up to be, however they should have worked, maybe not just as long. I like his choice of the AGM BA-UB-GC-2 golf cart batteries even though they are relatively expensive. I used 24 of them coupled into 6

That's what they offer commercially. Very pricey. I think it has to do with not using a ground plane, just the coax. Does that sound correct? Marvin - WB6PKK At 11:42 AM 2/10/2004, you wrote: [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: Slightly off topic, but in the realm of RF. Does anyone know of a

Slightly off topic, but in the realm of RF. Does anyone know of a source for 175 MHz 1/2 Wave whip? Can be telescoping, but a plane whip would do OK. I need a PL259 on the end. Could make one if I could find a source for replacement whips. It's for a radio mic. Thanks for any help. Marvin

Yes, I have one. I paid an ungodly amount, something like $50 and got a few Xeroxed pages. What a rip. I would be glad to share them with you. They obviously don't want to sell them. Contact me off-line. [EMAIL PROTECTED] Marvin - WB6PKK At 04:02 PM 2/2/2004, you wrote: Does anyone have
