I have been using a MVS repeater in a commercial setting for several
years and to date have had no problems. I'm using it consistantly at
about 40% duty cycle. It does require 2 radios which are easily
connected to each other.

I believe the program you are speaking of is called Comm Shop. I'm
pretty sure I still have that if you want it.

When you read the unit, it changes nothing. It will ask you if you want
to communicate with the unit to read but unless you make a change in
the program, it will stay the same. No jumpers to change ever once the
unit is set up and installed.
I was hoping to get some opinions on the best coax to make jumpers for
internal connections on a 152 Mhz public safety repeater. I'm currently
using LMR400 and we can hit the repeater consistantly with a 5 watt
handheld at 14 miles. The problem is we sometimes need around 15 to 16.

Has anyone used a good quality scanner as a receiver for a repeater and
if so, how well did it work? I'm contemplating a Radio Shack PRO-2055
as it seems to have good receive capability and picks up signal better
than some of our mobile radios.

If it would be of any help, I have a low split maratrac that I would
sell for $50 plus shipping. It was retired from one of our fire trucks
and we no longer use low band, all done on 800mhz now-a-days. If you
want any more info on it, let me know. I was going to list it on ebay.

Can someone tell me where I would need to inject the subtone from a tone panel
to the modulator of a maratrac. I'm attempting to build a backup repeater for
our dept and have all the connections figured out except that one. I'm not
