The systems I install are for public safety, there dispatchers take care of
ID'ing there systems. I have been going with a 2 sec. hang time, it's a little
more then I like running. When they have 100 + watt amps in line, but it seems
to keep the system nice and smooth.

I had that problem once on a FR-3000. it had to do with the {Hang On} under
Common Setting:Common. the box had to be checked (on) for: C. Tone during a
Hang ON.
