I'm trying to use a Connect Systems CS-800 interconnect to key a GE
MLS 1 to transmit. I'm not overly familiar with the MLS 1 nor have
I been able to find any LBI's online relating to my specific VHF
version, MLSH040. I've listed the pinout of the rear connector on
the MLS below;
PIN
1 EXT SPK HI
2 PTT/CLOCK
3 MIC LO
4 MIC HI
5 PTT-/A-
6 EXT SPK LO
7 CG DSBL/DATE
8 STORE
On the CS-800 interconnect there are connections for Audio In, Audio
Out, PTT, COS, GND. It also has a relay switched PTT connection if
the radios unkeyed PTT voltage exceeds 16VDC or if inverted keying
is required (closure to 12V). I've tried the obvious connections
between Audio Out and PTT but I just can't seem to get it to work.
Also, the radio was recently tested and the interconnect was working
on two of my other radios.
If anyone has had any similiar experiances with this radio I would
appreciate any help.
