Like mentioned beforen there is no opening the Bird and there WON'T be any
unsoldering/soldering.

The connector has 4 screws on the edges of the connector, and that is all. You
remove the screws, pull out the old connector, then slip iin the new connector,
and put the 4 screws back, and Viola, you are done. You need Bird specific
connectors.

Well this weekend for sure I will open up the Bird and see what I see.
If in fact the center pin is soldered then I will simply unsolder each
connector install the flange type N's, resolder and clean things up
inside a bit and....move on to the next project!! Of course I will not
start this work until I order the flange type connectors amd have them
"in house" and ready for installation.

Thanks to all who responded with your individual suggestions and/or
feedback. Its 9:05am PDT and I am otta here. I do have to work and
earn $$ to pay for all this electronic stuff. I have a growing list
for Mouser so they should be happy once I place my order. One thing
about this company...they deliver the orders very fast and I usually
get my parts in about 3-4 days via UPS.

BTW: RF Parts I think after I checked, wants $16 bux each for their
Amphenol N connectors. So I will do some comparison shopping on this
 issue....73 all!!
