Hi Joe, 

In addition to the suggestions made by others... I like 
the N0AXS ID O Matic, which is now selling on Ebay for about 
$21.50 and $2.50 shipping 

You have to assemble the ID'er from parts, but it's a 
through hole part type kit and easy to complete. 

You then have to sort through the ability to access and 
program the ID'er kit using an RS-232 connection and a 
terminal program such as procomm or hyperterm. Since doing 
said is not plug and play... sorting out the RS-232 connection 
and programming can turn off the "more informal" folks. 

Well worth powering up your soldering iron... 

But once you get the ID O'Matic going... it's a great 
product and a very fair dollar value.
