No problem trying to help you out... And now a 50 cent plug.

As a fully Authorized Kenwood Dealer AND Service Station (for
repairs) and I should be able to provide access to available
Service Manuals.

Many of the Service Manuals for the older radios are/were only
available in printed form (versus an available PDF version more
easily sent by Email attachment). I probably have a shop copy
for your radio and I could also check on an available printed
version to sell if you really wanted one. I'd be happy to offer
that service.

But there are many similar sounding (written) model numbers for
radios that are quite different from each other so you/I have to
do the proper homework to ensure you end up with the proper
manual. A Kenwood tk-860 is not the same radio as a tk-860g is
not the exact same radio as a tk-860H. I hope you get the idea
that I'd like to avoid ordering the wrong manual(s) where
possible.

One last item... I'm up to my "arse" in "California Alligators"
right now... meaning (regardless of the posts you see here) my
time is almost 100% on some very special high-level projects
with really short time-to-complete deadlines. So I haven't been
as accessible or replying to Emails and phone calls as I would
like. So if you need to reach me, please be patient and pestering
with Email is probably the best way. But I/we will be happy to
try and help you as our available time allows. I guess I/we should
be happy to report things "are very busy right now".

Thanks much,

Resume ALL-SKATE, All skate slow and safe.
:-)

cheers,
skipp
