I am 20 miles south of south bend
close enough for a road trip once I have everything ready
(wonder how the duplexers would ride on the back of my goldwing?)

as far as stability this particular set has been fairly good
but we always had a small heater keeping them above freezing until
the repeater was moved to a basement.
as far as the galvanized threaded rod goes i guess i could get some
brass rod or maybe stainless steel if it becomes a problem
