Yes, the RC210 is quite capable of displaying (reading back) an
antenna heading based on a varying voltage and giving that readback
in degrees. Since most rotors use an internal pot-derived voltage
divider as the source for driving their meter, it is simply a matter
of checking the voltage supp

Because those people are just using SkyCommand now? Granted, only one
rig, but the control/feedback makes the SM100 look like a stone knife.

That is what my original plan was. Have the controller speak a direction
based on the output of the compass sensor. Unfortunately the 210 does
not have that option on the meter faces
Some rotors had a variable resistor in them for direction, the cornell
dubilers come to mind and I think the yaesu's too.
