Yes, I hope to have a squelch circuit that works at least as well as,
maybe better than, the MICOR squelch. While there are several
substitutions/replacements for the MICOR squelch, I have not seen any up
to this point that I liked as well as, or better than, this famous unit.
I have also seen some of these processor based units put out trash that
could be detrimental to some receiver installations. Processors are
great, and they have their place, but, I believe a totally analog
approach is fine.
I don't have an immediate need, but hope to build another repeater
running "off the grid" in the near future, so milliamps are precious.
