Icom Systems group sells a version of the FR3000 with a 100w amp and additional power supply, if you are looking for off the shelf.. that is how you get 50+ watts at 100% duty cycle... Most folks opt to go to less than 100% duty cycle to keep from doubling the cost... but if you really need 50+

A 40-watt Motorola MTR2000 is continuous duty, and darn near bulletproof. I have one such repeater that is used to broadcast Amateur Radio News and another bulletin service, and it stays key-down for almost an hour at full power, and it barely gets warm. I doubt that any repeater users can detect
