Job Title: Sr. Mainframe Engineer Location: Merrimack, NH Duration: 6+-12 Months Contact Day-to-Day: This senior level Mainframe Engineer will provide expert knowledge in mainframe technologies for software development. They are looking for someone who has CICS Admin, Internals, or engineering background that can also write CICS/Cobol where required. This candidate will perform analysis of current and future application and infrastructure requirements, coding and testing of mainframe software components, vendor software evaluation, design consulting and significant performance engineering and testing. In addition he or she must be able to develop scalable and creative technical solutions in close collaboration with application and architecture teams. This position is to create or enhance complex infrastructure and mainframe engineering operations and requires skills beyond traditional application development. The team is making improvements and optimizations on the mainframe as well as developing infrastructure solutions and software to help manage the large environment. He or she will also be consulting with application developers often to make sure their programs can run smoothly on the mainframe.
