Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Information Technology or comparable experience.

 2+ years experience designing application packages with Application Packaging 
Technologies such as Microsoft Installer, Admin Studio, Package Studio, 
InstallShield, and WinInstall

Advance experience developing applications packages for the OVCM 5 environment.

2+ years experience working in a fast paced global corporate environment. 

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating System (W2K 
Professional/Server, W2K3 Server, XP, Vista, Longhorn), TCP/IP networking, 
directory services (Active Directory), database (SQL, Oracle)

Project management and leadership experience demonstrating capabilities in 
planning, process analysis and organizational skills.

Excellent presentation, written, verbal communications and effective 
interpersonal skills.

Ability to work with management to prioritize activities and achieve defined 
objectives and effectively translate operational requirements into technical 
solutions.

 

Other requisite knowledge includes:

Working knowledge with various client computing operating systems (W2K, XP, XP 
Tablet, Mobile 5, VISTA, CITRIX, Terminal services), 

Experience working with various hardware (Desktop, Laptop, Thin Clients, 
Handheld and other mobile devices), 

Automated deployment tools (Altiris, HP Radia), and 

Server based computing (Virtual Hosting, Citrix, Windows Terminal Services, Sun 
Secure Global Desktop), and integrating into directory services (Active 
Directory, LDAP).

Working knowledge of software deployments using HP RADIA/OVCM 4x & 5x 

Working Knowledge of virtual technologies such as VMware.

way we run desktop operations to gain efficiencies, reduce operational cost, 
consolidate infrastructure and implement a new global technology to enable 
global and regional processes.

 

Description:

The Packaging Analyst goals are to work in a global team responsible for the 
successful implementation of application services such software deployments, 
validation and confirmation of any information required to support the 
application packaging and deployment process, application packaging

 

Job Purpose:

Application Services Teams goal is to support global application packaging and 
software distribution responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Contribute to the design and implementation of a centralized packaging process, 
workflow, and standard application-packaging template

Create Microsoft Installer (.MSI) packages and Microsoft Transforms (.MST) for 
highly complex applications using Acresso AdminStudio, WorkFlow Manager, 
VMware, Orca, and VBScript.

Test application packages for compliance, functionality and quality assurance.

Integration and user acceptance testing 

Application Conflict resolution using InstallShield Conflict Solver Analysis to 
ensure no DLL/registry conflicts or ICE errors in the MSI packages.

Facilitate software packages/upgrades/patches for Integrated Systems Testing, 
UAT, and Production environment.

Integration of Active Directory with the DEV, UAT, IST and Production 
environments.

Train and mentor other associates 

Interact directly with major vendors such as Microsoft, HP, and Acresso.

Anticipate and respond to changing business/technical requirements from 
multiple business divisions

 

Expected Outcomes (WHAT WILL "SUCCESS" LOOK LIKE IN 12 MONTHS)

 

Expected short-term results:

Candidate would successfully begin contributing to the team's success by 
packaging applications within service level commitments 30 days.  

Customer surveys would reflect the excellent support provided.

Establishing working relationships with business unit clients and the CTI 
functional teams. 

Ability to react and provide quick turnaround to requests. 

 

Expected long-term results:

Successfully integrates into the Application service team. 

Improved service.
