*Need EAD GC, GC and USC only * One of the nation's leading financial services companies seeks a Release Engineer. The Release Engineer will participate in detailed technical design, development and implementation of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Working within an Agile environment on a system team, the individual will actively participate in story planning and detailed daily standups, while providing input for building out the delivery pipeline. Responsibilities: · Ensure, where possible, that an automated approach is being taken in all aspects of software build and management · Work along the boundary between engineering, QA, and operations to ensure that the release process is meeting their short-term and long-term needs · Ensure build and release processes and procedures are followed · Devise and operate the processes needed to ensure software builds are fast, automated and reliable · Plan and support integrated platform releases per the RM process, while actively driving alignment of platform changes to pre-defined release schedules and identifying conflicts with other portfolio planned releases. · Partner with the delivery teams to conduct and /or review release impact assessments and drive appropriate release level communications in a timely manner · Develop the integrated minute-by-minute plan / Readiness Review for production release and facilitates walkthrough with teams · Manage production implementation event (off hours required) · Participate or provide input to support Release Planning meetings with the intent to align and influence scheduling decisions to optimize the Release strategy · Provide regular updates to the Portfolio Release Engineering lead to ensure Portfolio level roadmaps, and other operational reports and metrics produced weekly accurately reflect planned and upcoming releases and their associated impacts and risks. · Develop and provide process improvement recommendations based on customer and delivery team interactions to help mature and align RM services. · Assess, plan and assist the product teams with the design of release packages prior to deployment into the environments · Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution on build and release issues · Support an agile and iterative approach to development, testing, build and release · Train and mentor team members on the build/continuous integration process and tools Manage contractor resources to deliver on RE processes · Works with other technical team members to resolve all release related issues Qualifications: · Significant experience gained in an IT operations or systems integration role · 4+ years’ hands-on experience developing and supporting automated build, continuous integration (CI) and automated deployment environments and scripts · Experience in a range of version control, continuous integration and build automation tools and approaches (including open source solutions) e.g. RPMs, Subversion, Jira, Maven, Hudson, Puppet · Experience writing implementation plans for installing software components on build agents, and working with application services team to execute the install · Experience with build process, repository managers and branching concepts · Experience developing in an Agile software development environment (Scrum) with cross-functional Scrum teams · Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical and skills · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Must have the ability to work independently with minimal direction and supervision Preferred Experience: · Working knowledge of uDeploy, Subversion, Nexus, Solarium and HP Service Manager · Extensive experience implementing Dev Ops and Continuous Delivery concepts as part of a System Team supporting Agile Release Trains (ARTs) · Bachelor’s Degree · 5 years of experience in Release Management Regards, Abhishek Ojha Sr. Technical Recruiter *Sage Group Technologies Inc* *W:* 732-767-0010 x 106 | *Direct:* 732- 837- 2138 | *F:* 732-837-3529 | *Email:* ao...@sagetl.com *“Knowledge will give you power, but character respect.”* *– **Bruce Lee* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "REQSRESUMES" group.
