I had a hell of a time to get patch.exe to work too. I had to put it in C:\GnuWin32\bin and C:\Windows\system32 and set my PATH environment variable to: C:\GnuWin32\bin;C:\PHP\;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\Syst em32\Wbem;C:\MySQL\MySQL Server
