This is to inform / remind the powder diffraction community (especially in the UK) that the new high-resolution powder diffractometer on beamline I11 at Diamond is due to be available to the user community from September/October 2008. The next proposal deadline at Diamond is now very close: 1st April 2008. Details of the beamline are available at: http://www.diamond.ac.uk/Beamlines/Beamlineplan/I11/default.htm So far commissioning tests on the instrument are going very well thanks to the efforts of the construction team led by Chiu Tang.
