Posted on behalf of Professor Bill Hunter ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) "Researchers with experience in chemical crystallography would be very welcome to apply. These positions offer an excellent opportunity to broaden experience into macromolecular structure determination and analysis."
----------------- Scottish Structural Proteomics Facility (SSPF) - University of Dundee, UK. Five post-doctoral research posts are available within an internationally recognised centre-of-excellence in biomedical sciences (http://www.dundee.ac.uk/biocentre/) here in Dundee. These posts are funded for five years from the BBSRC Structural Proteomics Of Rational Targets (SPORT) initiative award to the SSPF which has been founded by the Universities of St. Andrews and Dundee. The scientists who will be recruited will be expected to form a cohesive team within Dundee and also with colleagues in other institutes. Each scientist will in addition be given specific projects for which they are responsible. These are in the area of structural enzymology and biological chemistry targeting key metabolic pathways of microorganisms. Applications from researchers with chemical crystallography experience are particularly encouraged. Post 1 - Structure Determination I - LS/349/www To contribute to protein production, crystallization facility and to solve new structures. Requirements: Purification and crystallization experience. Desired: Structure analysis experience. Post 2 - Structure Determination II - LS/350/www To concentrate on new structure determination. Requirements: Proven record in crystal structure determination. Desired: Purification and crystallization experience. Post 3 - Protein Expression - LS/348/www To develop and exploit novel expression vectors and systems.
