I've imported some files in WMA lossless format to my library. The
playback wasn't really possible, because of many dropouts or quiet
periods. I assume because of transcoding. I thought SBS is able to play
WMA lossless native!?

IIRC WMA lossless is native to Radio and Touch but transcoded for all
other players.

Lossless is not native to the SB hardware. If I remember correctly, the
decoder is available on all or most Windows installations, so if SBS is
running on your Windows box, as opposed to the Synolog

As there are restrictions, of which I forgot, because the file type
settings, I have converted the files to FLAC, what is anyway my default
format.
