I used to do something similar with years to handle boots. I would add
1000 years to the years. Using Original Year, I don't think will help
you as I think sorting by year fixes on the Year tag only. It was
fairly easy to deal with since I didn't really care that the year tag
was right. It kept the boots in chronological order, and all my boots
have Album Title's that have the real date; I see you do the same type
of thing with the Album Title.

If you really want the original year, your best bet maybe to create a
different Artist or Album Artist to put the boots under someone
completely different. Since I've cleaned up my tags and albums in the
past few years I've gone to this solution. For instance, for the few
bootlegs I have by Radiohead, the album artist is Radiohead (boot). I
then have two different artists with the boots under one and the proper
releases under another. I could now go back and alter the dates as
needed.

Ultimately, you'll have to compromise with something. In my case, the
artist names are not "correct" or the "years" are not correct. I have
to choose one. Alternatively, you could sort by Album and count on the
AlbumSort tag. If I were going to do that, I'd have to think long and
hard only because if you ever browse by all your albums, the AlbumSort
will influence how you browse by Album. WHat works for one artist, may
not work if you are browsing by album without regard to artist. If you
didn't care, then you could number the AlbumSort tag so that albums
list in the order you want.
