I try and follow AllMusic to get the most out of the MAI plugin. If you
use streaming services then inevitably you will find differences. I have
resigned myself to having multiple versions of the same artist!

Your tags, your choice! Classical tags are extremely inconsistent across
all the databases / streaming services. Find a style you like and try
and consistently follow it through. You can always tweak afterwards if
you wish.
I have a number of Priory Records CDs in the Complete Psalms of D
I tend to only buy CDs second hand as I rip them and store them after
that. Downloads are great, especially where that version isn't available
for streaming. Some download sites have better metatarsal than others.
You can actually quite quickly and easily import tags which are compiled

Definitely practice on those before tackling Hyperion's Complete
Schubert Songs (40 discs)!
If you use Material Skin you can name each disc by using the comment tag
of the first track on each disc. Material can show the discs as

You could use Jazz as your main genre and then have another for Swing &

You could look online at how Jazz is tagged or you can have your own
system. Your music, your categories!

I would strongly recommend dBpoweramp for ripping. You can include album
art as part of the rip which is a great timesaver. Mp3rip is great for
implementing the changes you wish you had thought of when originally
ripping!
I have also found it great to be able to add multiple entries to fields

I agree with the other posts. The ability to add cover art at the
ripping stage saves a considerable amount of time besides the multiple
sources for tags.
