Probably heresy but as someone who has a
rock/ambient/classical/folk/electronic mix of music then
composer = artist works for me.

EAC is only slow because it is accurate. You can set it up (not
recommended) so that it rips without error correction. Even in accurate
mode EAC rips a CD in 15 minutes which is fine for me. Oh yes it is free
as well :-)

Each to his own but EAC could not be simpler for me. If I needs to alter
tags I use MP3Tag.

EAC is easy to use for me. I have it as an autostart application so to
rip a CD I place it in the tray, wait for the disc to be recognised and
press MP3 to rip to FLAC. I cannot see how it could be easier short of
getting a multi CD transport.

I use Mediamonkey on one PC and the Windows Media Player and plugin on
another.

After trying a few options, I found the following by far the best in
terms of ease of use, quality and quantity of artwork found and degree
of automation...

A great tool for downloading album art is...

It finds 99.5% of my artwork and my tastes are very obscure!

I'd thoroughly recommend Album Art Downloader XUI for this. VERY easy
to use and as automated as it can be IMHO
