This is a follow-up question from yesterday (Thanks Wayne for all of your
help!)
When you get a chance could anyone please assist me in understanding JACK,
Pulse Audio and ALSA? As of right now, we have audio coming through the
board with JACK and Pulse Audio working together. The problem is I t

Now THAT's a great idea! And, as we've learned from reading on this list, if
you can dream it up, Linux can do it.

First off, let me say I've thoroughly enjoyed this debate and found your
comments enlightening. I have several friends outside of radio (it happens) who
are paid nicely to fly around the country every week and install their highly
specialized appliance version of Linux. But the other half of th

Just one more thing, the red box are usually xrun errors (except your
error messages aren't matching up). Usually xruns are reported with the
number of milliseconds that the audio was delayed for and depending on how

Good Morning!
I noticed something this AM when we fired up RDAdmin and that was that the
icon for Jack was inside a red box. We were trying to roll out RD on Oct.
1st but had constant issues with trying to figure out Jack/PulseAudio.
We're sort of at a loss here as to why this red box keeps pop
