We have recently been catching the system loading the wrong log at
midnight... Say its the 2nd of December, the system has logs for the 3rd,
4th and 5th... and it will skip the 3rd... and go straight to another log,
basically the wrong day. We have more than one day ahead because our
evening

Are you using timed events?
If you look at the running log before midnight, the last event should be a
CHAIN. Does it point to the correct next day's log?
