Probably nothing to do with your problem, but a friend of mine gave me an mp3
cd that he compiled using musicmatch on windows. When I dragged and dropped the
songs into my dropbox they would not import. I opened them in Audacity and
saved as mp3, dropped them again into my dropbox and they worke
Larry,
KPTZ is an NCE community station. We're not an NPR station per se but we
use Content Depot for a few programs and have PRSS receivers (the new
ones that aren't up yet). We've been using Rivendell from the start
(last May). We probably don't use Rivendell the way most stations do but

They are strictly professional grade manufacturers.
Both Frank and Bob have been around. ( as they say )

Hi,
I'm not entirely confident about the Xport service but the theory is the
same. Rough setup guide is as follows:
Main Computer:
* Setup as normal for a standalone play out machine (source, rpms, debs,
whatever)
* Edit the MySQL config so that it will accept connections from ot
As I mentioned in a previous post, we are reviewing Rivendell for our
automation system (Good job with the Demo Fred). My program manager would to (
know of / talk to) a public radio station using rivendell, specifically NPR
stations but any public radio.
Anyone?
Thanks,

Robert - I do have the libmad development package installed, but thank you
for the idea.
Despite continued efforts, we're still not able to figure this one out.
Does anyone have an idea where to go from here, or need more information
from me?
Thank you for your help,

Hi,
To be honest I've messed with SSDs a little bit for unrelated purposes and
they are lightning fast which makes a general desktop machine much more
pleasurable to use. However I honestly don't have a slowness problem with
Rivendell. Sure you might shave a few seconds from boot time but
I haven't played with lots of JACK compatible compressors but I've had
good results from Jamin. As pointed out by another guy on this list
(James Harrison I think) its also good for crash recovery as Jamin can be
set to load a profile on startup.
I've not come across Omnia/Orban before so c
