About a year ago when KDE was managing the CentOS windows, I put up a message
asking about using a gutted USB joystick as a pushbutton box to operate
Rivendell. Part of the procedure called for using the KDE Control Center to
check for connectivity and button actuations.

That didn’t work for me. Fortunately, I have a cron setup to backup my
database every night, so I was able to restore to my last backup, which was
last night, and everything is working fine now. Not sure what happened that
caused this problem, hopefully it doesn’t happen again.

Tables in Rivendell DB with a lot of column (like SERVICE with ~250
ones) are incompatible with InnoDB engine. The update requests ar

I had the same problem and I solved by unprivileging 'user' and promoting
admin again...
Just as quick test, craete a new admin user 'admin 2', then RDLogin with it
and see if you still have those permissions problems.

Your system has certainly a database problem. Check that Rivendell
tables are using MyISAM engine.
