So what's the "right" (in general scenarios) setup to remotely
export/mount a NFS share?

Oops! Never mind. I had Rivendell 10.2 pinned in the machine I was
trying to upgrade to 10.3. Strange that it removed 10.2 but refused to
allow 10.3 to download. That seems dangerous.

Okay, so I've gone ahead and downloaded Debian Wheezy 32 bit, formatted
and did a fresh install on real hardware, installed Rivendell with the
Tryphon repositories, and I am unable to make the system crash as below.
