Mostly because I wanted to use StereoTool, which is only compatible with JACK.

I did not test for that, alas.

Hi,
Was curious to what this $500 device was, just a quick correction, it
turns out it has its own built in power supply (115/230V 50 - 60Hz, 2W)
and cable that comes out of it.
Info gleaned from here but still $500 seems expensive for what it is:
Greetings,
Lately I have been having a problem with segue markers being reset
mysteriously on their own.
Sometimes a cut will have a segue marker placed right after the beginning
of the cut, sometimes the segue markers will be removed entirely.
This is causing us to miss commercials in the first

Then I'm not crazy :-) I've wondered why segue markers disappeared from
some of our songs, and if I forgot to set them right. But I know they have
been there before, so I'm pretty sure we're experiencing missing segue
markers also (running 2.10.3)

Hi,
I took the one that I have apart, if anyone is interested.
The main chip is the TI PCM2902E
It also has 4 op amps, they are all TI 2353UA's
I admit that I'm a little surprised that this interface doesn't have
S/PDIF connections. The PCM2902E can handle S/PDIF (as opposed to the

Greetings,
On one of our stations we have been having a problem with rdairplay
freezing for a few seconds or jumpimg over a cart in the log. This happens
sporadically.
Looking at the syslog at the times when this is happening, I see this line

True, but since it the issue appeared to be hardware related. At some
time before "throwing in the towel", a better option is to call someone
up (Paravel) and say "Can you send me something that just works out of
the box?".
Note I've had to fight hardware problems with ASI cards twice
+1 for Paravel support.

absolutely necessary to buy a turnkey to
