[RDD] r128gain - integration

I agree that R128 integration would be a welcome option in RD. Having consistent 'loudness' based level normalisation for playout (as opposed to peak level normalisation) *greatly* assists maintaining an ideal audio mix of overlapping transitions on air (post audio processing), such as automat

My understanding is that RD normalization only normalizes peak loudness whereas r128gain normalizes and adjusts towards a subjective loudness measure. JE On Sun, 2016-02-14 at 15:47 -0500, Cowboy wrote: > On Sunday 14 February 2016 03:36:19 pm Chris Howard - CBR wrote: > > I have a wide variet

Does anyone have an experience integrating r128gain with rivendell? I have a wide variety of loudness levels in my imported carts. I'd like to find an automated way to levelize everything, or at least a large percentage. ___ Rivendell-dev mailing list

Thank you Mike, I don't have an asound.conf file but made the change to my asoundrc and now it works fine. 2016-02-14 9:01 GMT-08:00 Mike Carroll : > I recall similar problems reported here over the years, and it sounds like > a rate mismatch between the sound card and ALSA. Check that the corre

I recall similar problems reported here over the years, and it sounds like a rate mismatch between the sound card and ALSA. Check that the correct rate is specified in the ALSA config file (asound.conf?), On Sun, Feb 14, 2016 at 7:50 AM jorge soto wrote: > Running RRAKSTUDIO, which is ubuntu 14

Running RRAKSTUDIO, which is ubuntu 14.04 and Rivendell 2.10, with jack. The audio pitch when using alsa as the driver is low. If I use portaudio as the driver the pitch is fine. If I open the same file using audacity, the pitch is fine, so it seems that using alsa as the driver is the problem. Can
