Don't know how long until Rivendell is fully ported to QT4...but Trinity
Desktop Environment (formerly KDE3 and QT3) looks promising for the current
Rivendell...

Yes, we have the same issue. It was a courteous thing that Fred did to
allow ogg/mp3 systems to upgrade to the official v2. But I don't have much
hope that there'll be a fix anytime soon.

Just install NeoRouter VPN Server on your home computer and the client
on your campus computer. The client doesn't need any ports open on the
campus computer. It is working well for us. We use rsync to keep
/var/snd/ in sync and mysql replication to keep the database updated.

Guys,
Rivendell 2 on Ubuntu is as easy as installing the tryphon repos and then
installing the rivendell packages.

and save it then open it again and it will be 5.0 whereas check the
database and it will be 550 (5.5) as it should be.

I'd also like to try to build a live cd of our setup (maybe with

More organized, better, complete, updated documentation for Rivendell is
imperative.

Alban,
Trying to follow your wiki on building my own packages using
git-buildpackage I get:
mk-build-deps --install --remove --root-cmd sudo
Unknown option: root-cmd
I am running Ubuntu 11.04 with git-buildpackage 0.5.19 at the moment.

Questions about Rivendell 2,
Do I have this correctly?
1. NFS is no longer used/needed.
2. Apache/rdxport.cgi replaces NFS.
3. Importing/Playback of files goes through Apache/rdxport.cgi for
file retrieval.
Does the rdxport.cgi work over https? If not then do I need to run
satellite workstations
Happy New Year!
Thank you to Fred Gleason for the rdimport bug fix in Rivendell 2.1.2 and,
thank you to Alban Peignier for the new deb packages for 2.1.2 at

stopping any services - carts that did exist minutes before are now gone.
This doesn't happen if I remove all dropboxes from the database (via
rdadmin or manually).

Yes, I've filed a bug report for this on the Rivendell Mantis system.
