Howdy Folks:

FYI, AudioScience has just posted a tech note on their web site regarding the
hang on warm boot problem reported here last week by Rob Landry. It includes
detailed instructions for applying a software work-around. You can find it at:

http://www.audioscience.com/internet/download/notes/note_42_Boot_Issue_Linux.pdf

For those who are running a CentOS 7 setup based on the standard Paravel
Systems installer with one or more of the affected cards, the workaround has
also been integrated into an updated ASI driver package, thus eliminating the
need to apply the workaround by hand. You can find the package at:

        http://static.paravelsystems.com/audioscience/centos/7/4.20.21-4/

After applying this update, I’d recommend doing a full *cold* reboot of the
system —i.e. shut it down, then unplug it from AC power and count to 10 before
restarting.

N.B. This update applies only to setups using ASI-58XX, -57XX or -67XX cards.
It should *not* be applied to other setups.

Cheers!
