When this happened did you see it in the syslog entries? Because I do
not see that happening here. If what you described was happening I would
expect to see something like:

Hi Nathan and others,
Please accept my apologies, Linux semi-n00b here.
Where might I go to find these log entries, to perhaps investigate my
issues? 'syslog' was mentioned, is this a text logfile, or another
service that needs to be configured?
Thanks in anticipation.

Basically it would hit the event before midnight, load the next day's
log, and then at midnight, it would jump to the next chain-to event
(effectively skipping 2 days in one night). The solution was simply to
add more music events prior the the

there is also messages.1, messages.2, and messages.3 which contain older

Looking at the log, it should have been overscheduled.
Perhaps someone can tell me how to get a report of what has actually
played out? I have never figured that out.

I had noticed those before, I think I may have even posted them here
some months ago.
How do I get to the bottom of those messages?

Hi all,
I have been using Rivendell for almost two years now with great success.
However I recently helped set up another machine for a friend who runs

recently he has found some strange goings-on with the CHAIN-TO event at
I have two stations that encounter this problem, seemingly randomly, not
