Hi Fred and All,
Apologies for resurrecting an old thread. I thought I had this sorted, but
on a test installation I dont get any joy.
1. I've installed a test version of Rivendell 4 on an Ubuntu AWS instance
and I can successfully use Glasscoder to send audio to an IceCast server.
2. I'm now try

Hi All,
Apologies upfront for this being an off-topic request. It would seem this
request is more to do with HTTP PUT and DELETE methods than Rivendell, but
I've nowhere else to turn.
I would like to set up an HLS stream directly from a Rivendell machine
already running Glasscoder to an Icecast2
I think I fixed the problem, with direction and help from Fred. It was a
permission-problem.
What I did to make things play, was to enable cgi- and actions-modules
in apache (actions.load was apparently needed).
Copied hls.conf and hls.passwd to /etc/apache2/conf-available and make
symlinks
Under Debian 8, the main Apacxhe headache is that CGI is disabled by
default.

FWIW, the example configs were developed using Apache v2.2.15. I’ve heard
rumblings that the latest Apache versions have substantially mod

Hi,
Has anyone had success using Glasscoder to stream HLS?
I'm pretty much faceplanting trying to get this to work.
I've copied the hls.*-files to /etc/apache2/conf-enabled and
hls_methods.pl to /usr/lib/cgi-bin. I've added an entry in hls.passwd
with htpasswd and changed the paths in hls.conf
