Check to see if it created the /var/run/rivendell folder.
On Ubuntu-based installs, the folders in /var/run are virtual and need
to be recreated every time the machine reboots.
Most stuff installed on Ubuntu will do this as a part of its startup

And if that folder is not
Forgot to mention: I'm using Tryphon repos. The other times I used the

Another new one with v2.9.1 is:
--sysconfdir=
to indicate the location where the Apache configuration should be
installed. See 'INSTALL' for the details.
Cheers!

Hard to keep going when I didn't even got Apache installed (done it
meanwhile)...
The paths gave shows that some parts of Rivendell are already setup. or
perhaps full installed (rd-bin)
What am I trying to do is to install from source.
Amyway. thanks for your support and keep it as possible :-)
The way I did was as follows. This may or may not work on your flavor of
Linux!!!
cat /etc/apache2/conf.d/rd-bin.conf

Forgot to say that I applied Alban's apache.conf tweak yesterday, after
seeing the issues.
No fix.

Hello Brandon,
Did you miss the last step in wiki page : "sudo apt-get install -f" ? It should
try to install missing dependencies.

Yes I supposed you already had it.
Usually on Debian based systems like Ubuntu "apt-get install
build-essential" gives a nice list of building tools for
compiling/building needs. You may want this as well.
Aside from that have a look here

You need -dev deps!
Try with these:
apt-get install libcdparanoia-dev libflac++-dev libsamplerate0-dev

Disclaimer:
I've never done a Rivendell update. I always waited for Tryphon
to make them available. Since they had not done that lately, I decided to
give a try.
I've followed what I'm used to:
./configure
make
sudo make install
But I end up with missing items upon configure.
