The dialog is built in such a way that we can probably re-use most of it for
other upload tasks. At the moment, I would like to focus on message entry.

I just ran another test ... WebCit successfully accepted a 221 MB upload from
Firefox, but it crashed when I tried to save the message.

the upload ability past the capabilities of the browser (with its bugs).
Big sites that depend on lots of uploads (video and photo sites) seem to like
using Flash uploaders, but I
IG, could you upload that to easy install? its hopefully fixing the smtp client-issues with big attachments;
its adding one second to the timout per 128 bytes of mailbody size; probably a good start.
