Well, that's what I suggested, an RDP server. As far as clients go,
winrdesktop has worked for quite some time, we have our own mst sc in
rosapps iirc, and now freeRDP client.

Artist tm previously claimed that freeRDP devs were interested in
integrating it with ReactOS. Since they already have a native Windows
client, I take it he was referring to the server. Perhaps he can clarify?

He was referring to both.
I spoke to the freeRDP dev, and he is a quite nice person willing to
collaborate, however he is not able to put his time into working on
win32 version now. They would be glad to help us, though, if someone
decides to work on this.

Hi all,
The Google Summer of Code 2012 project registration phase is starting in
three weeks.
Are we going to apply again after our success last year?
Who will be available as administrators and mentors?
Is anybody already collecting task ideas?
Cheers,
Colin
Hi,
yes. I nominate Amine to lead the GSoC 2012 application process as he
did last year. It was quite successful, so I guess his experience would
be the best here, and I'm all to help, of course.
WBR,
Aleksey.

Ooh, NTFS would be a good one. We need someone dedicated to doing that.
Although also I think USB is important.

Arguable, but okay.
2. ntfs support
Couldn't care less.
3. printer server
Tree killer! (j/k)
How about an RDP server?

Jaix Bly GSoC wish list:
1) Assign driveletters (and maybe printerports) through SAMBA-TNG + GUI
2) Win32 port of SAMBA4 (server support)
3) RDP server.
4) NTFS and other FS support.
5) Printer support.

As for RDP.: we already can use it as 3dparty software (can we?), so so
IMHO it's not such important to integrate it in current stage.

Adding SAMBA should not be so hard. Didn't try samba-tng under ros but
afaik it worked. So it's just matter of integration.
2012/2/7 Igor Paliychuk mansoni...@gmail.com
Agree, SAMBA also would be nice. Depends on slots number we will get this
time...
