I didn't try 6/8 time signature.
The difference becomes clear when using it.

in 6/8:
The unit is a quaver (from the 8)
The beat is 3 quavers (2 beats per bar).
I looked at the German translation and found:
Beat = Taktschlag
Unit = Einhei
While updating RG translation, I discover an "Unit" option in this
menu.
What is the usage of this option ?
In can't see any difference between "Unit" and "Snap to beat".
