Is it normal for rsync 2.5.5 to keep locking up on large HP/UX 11.0 files? I am not talking about a delay here, but locking up and never returning w/error. Anybody have any suggestions? Aharon -- Sr Unix Administrator Tampa, Florida Websites: http://www.tamparacing.com

Here is some output. File 2 gigs, it hangs when allowing it to do a partial send.. But, if I specify --whole-file it will eventually crash with an error. aurora:/premdordev/MP5 # rsync -avvz --progress --whole-file SM.ORDERS n4000:/premdor/MP5/SM.ORDERS opening connection using remsh n4000

Here is the last 100 or so lines of the tusc when the rsync dies. You can see the file is quite large, already over 2gig's and at 84% completion when rsync dies. Though, it didnt hang, it did exit with error this time. Heres the command line. tusc -o tusc.out rsync -avvz --progress
