That is only true if rsync is compiled to think it can change the time
on a symlink and sometimes it can't. Either ignore that particular
failure, or comment-out HAVE_LUTIMES in config
HI,
patches/xattrs.diff repeats the man-page change from patches/slp.diff
producing an error if you try to apply both patches.

HI,
rsync-3.0.2 with patches/acls.diff,patches/xattrs.diff,patches/slp.diff
fails (most of the time) in the itemize test:
- itemize log follows
Testing for symlinks using 'test -h'
makepath /usr/src/packages/BUILD/rsync-3.0.2/testtmp/itemize/from/foo
makepath
/usr/src/packa
Working with rsync 3.0.2, it appears that rsync isn't unlocking files
before setting the file attributes when those files already exist.
This generates error messages on subsequent such as:
rsync: rsync_xal_set: lsetxattr("locked_file","test_xattr") failed:
Operation not permitted (1)

Hi,
I have an rsync daemon on a MAC-OSX srv. The daemon share a read-only
folder.
On a linux "stand-by" server (no user activity here) I use rsync client to
replicate from server.
On about 85000 files I have 4 error like this:

rsync: delete_file: unlink
"/var/bck/srv_
Hi !
Is there a way to give a list of files to rsync and it only synchronizes
those files?
Best regards
Marc
