problem transferring socket files to Mac OS X

HelloI am backing up a FreeBSD machine to an HFS+ formatted disk on a Mac OS X 10.4 machine. Whenever it encounters a file that is a socket, I get an error message like:rsync: mknod "/Volumes/BigShiny/Backups/va_servers/shiraz/tmp/mysql.sock" failed: Invalid argument (22)Is this because rsync is in
