I assume you installed rsyslog from rsyslog repositories? This appears to be an internal librdkafka problem on centos8, I found this thread regarding the error message: https://github.com/edenhill/librdkafka/issues/2681 I need to check if we can reproduce the problem on our centos8 testbench mach
