I have the following problem in 3.8.6 (sorry I can't try it on 3.8.7 now).
If I have a header line in an email like this (or in Cc field):
To: "'Foo Bar'"
of
To: 'Foo2 Bar2'
on the Update.html page (UpdateCc component) RT generates the code:
Foo Bar
and a very similar one for foob

I think there is a lack in the mysql upgrade document or in the upgrade
script.
I did it on a test environment and didn't have time to find out the real
solution,

I have done the same upgrade (3.8.0 -> 3.8.1) with the following steps:
1. backup the old rt3 database with mysqldump
2. unpack rt-3.8.1.tar.gz
3. ./configure and make testdeps (everything was ok)
4. in the source directory of rt 3.8.1 run: perl etc/upgrade/
schema.mysql-4.0-4.1.pl db us
