mysql server gone away is an indication there is a problem with the
backend database serving RT. enable debugging in your mysql daemon and
analyze the output for failures. is your mysql local or remote? make sure
firewall settings permit remote connections.

Hi all,
im using rt 3.8.4 and having problems with users being autocreated by the
ldap plugin. on first login they arent being added to the database, and
on subsequent attempts to add them in the user manager i simply get "could
not add user." the ldap information for a user is NOT present in
as a fedora team developer, the first thing ill insist is that you
upgrade to f10 or newer. nothing in f3 is supported in mailing lists
or the irc chans we host, and is sounds as though something OS
related is the culprit at this point. perhaps youre missing http-devel?

i cant seem to get RT using mod_perl to render properly in firefox.
the search button is missing and the asset tracker "create new asset of
type" button is truncated.
using centos 5.3 and apache 2.x

nevermind, investigation into the links table indicated i had imported the
DB as one rt name, and begun using it as another. the rt name is used in
link params.

doublecheck the configuration of your database to make sure the rt_user
and rt_pass actually exist and permit login...looks like thats where its
failing
make sure mysqld is running too.
