This may be more appropriate in a MySQL list, but I figured I would give it a shot.
I am upgrading from MySQL 4.0 ro MySQL 5.0.51 and according to the UPGRADE readme I need to export/import as binary. Here is what I get when I try to export binary: mysqldump: Character set 'binary' is not a compiled character set and is not specified in the '/usr/share/mysql/charsets/Index' file There does not seem to be much in the way of how to add character sets to MySQL.
