We have urgent requirement with one of our client's, please review below job description and let me know your interest Position ID: DESAB00018009 Title: Power BI Developer Location: Waukegan, IL Duration: 12 Months+ Locals Only (onsite work Required from Day1) Primary Function: Provides in-depth technical expertise in the development and support of client area application systems/programming requirements and processes (e.g. new, enhancements or maintenance), in the preparation of application system specifications, and in the development, testing, and implementation of efficient, cost effective application solutions. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES . Lead Developer who brings technical expertise to develop, test and implement significant new products, or operational improvements or devise new approaches to problems for the business unit. . Conduct investigation activity/research and give technical advice to the adoption or integration of new technologies and their business impact. . Development of standards and procedures and publish/communicate findings via presentations, white papers, etc. . Review, validate & enhance design, conduct performance monitoring and capacity planning. . Install, test and upgrade releases and associated products. . Evaluate & recommend new software, utilities, and tools. . Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures. . Draws on the ' expertise of technical resources within Client and outside vendors. . Accountable for total project scope, budget, completion within budget constraints and schedules completion date. . Accountable for successful and timely completion of all tasks/projects under direct and matrix control. . Post completion audit of project after implementation to verify expected benefits vs. costs, both development and operating. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING Required Education: Bachelors Degree , Related field. An equivalent combination of education and work experience Experience/Background: Minimum 10+ years Related work experience. Preferred Education, Experience: . B.S. in Computer Science or similar engineering discipline including Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering is required. M.S. in Computer Science or Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering is preferred. Associates Degree is acceptable with a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a related job function. . 5-7 years of experience covering the entire software life cycle in a team-oriented environment. Requires experience in Microsoft Excel/Power BI/SQL Server Analysis with emphasis in object-oriented analysis and design. Experience with developing dashboard/reports and analytical tools that drive business intelligence and insights. Experience in software methodologies, industry driven best practices and patterns. . Strong Experience in designing and developing analytical applications using Microsoft Power BI, Excel, SQL Server Analysis. . Experience in data engineering using Microsoft SQL Databases (OLAP, OLTP). . Experience in integrating Office suite of applications, Team Center and other enterprise class systems. . Experience in analytical tools such as JMP, Minitab or Equivalent. . Experience in Software Development using R/Python or any high level language. . Expose to Waterfall / Agile software development. . Promote best practices and patterns for Business Intelligence driven dashboard, reports and solutions. . Experience in developing deployment strategies using Microsoft Power Platform/Office 365. . Experience in Unit, Integration, Performance and Functionality testing with or without automation. . Experience in developing Office/SharePoint solution using VSTO or equivalent.
