Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering . 8+ years of relevant work experience . Effective communication skills, both written and verbal . Experience using electrical circuit PCBA design tools (i.e. Altium, cadence) . Experience with design and characterization of implantable electronics. . Experience in low voltage circuit design and PCB layout techniques. Duties: . Receives general direction, exercises considerable discretion as to personal work details as well as the work details of other technical personnel. . Performs complex assignments requiring a high degree of technical competence. . Interacts with functional groups as necessary to conduct feasibility studies, technology assessments, concept studies, or benchmarking studies. . Reviews, generates, and approves related inputs such as drawings and specifications. . Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services. . Consolidates results of design elements of major projects for purpose of design review. . Integrates multiple approaches to solve problems or optimize solutions in complex or cross functional manufacturing processes or product designs. . Conducts evaluations, tests and analyses related to design feasibility and function. . Creates efficient protocols for validation of complex system functions and defines validation process. . Conducts measurements specified in design verification plans, documents, and tabulates results, and provides engineering test reports. . Performs troubleshooting and fault isolation activities on a variety of breadboards and hybrids. . Support compliance and safety testing.
