- Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
- Deploying and debugging cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Training teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required.
- Employing exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems.
- Develop best practices for the larger Cloud Engineer team.
- Building and designing web services in the cloud, along with implementing the set-up of geographically redundant services.
- Orchestrating and automating cloud-based platforms throughout the company.
- Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the organization innovate and excel.

Main responsibilities:
- Organizing and controlling the activities of the team, assigning staff to various projects and directing their activities through goal setting;
- Acting as a mentor for the team;
- Implementing the necessary processes and culture to align the Cloud Operations vision with the overall business strategy, delivering high-quality services;
- Supporting other technical teams with R&D and recommendations on the use of technology;
- Identifying and evaluating new technologies and processes that might help the team deliver better solutions and service;
- Guaranteeing that the Cloud Operations team provide frameworks that the engineering teams can deliver their products to the customers;
- Guaranteeing the infrastructure lifecycle is properly managed;
- Ensuring that processes are followed by the team;
- Supporting the team in troubleshooting complex performance and system issues;
- Synchronizing with our Support team;
- Prioritizing workload according to Business needs;
- Ensuring and facilitating knowledge sharing within the department;
- Participating in RFP's and RFI's;
- Supporting Sales and executives with strategy and cost estimation;
- Supporting CS and PMO with guidance on infrastructure services;
- Liaising with Architects, Developers to make sure technology stack is always in sync
Key Skill Set:
- Lead initiatives, patching/upgrade schedules, support help channels tracking.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members
- Mentoring and coaching other technical team members to assess needs, provide assistance, and resolve technical problems;
- Comfortable working with an Agile approach
- Experience with Service Now, DevSecOps process, AWS, Gitlab.

- Build cloud native data platforms and capabilities that enable data analytics, reporting, model developments and machine learning
- Manage and enhance cloud native data lakes and Data Warehouse platforms.
- Collaborate with teams and leadership within IT and with business partners to advance our technical capabilities and provide data solutions that drive business results
- Create Proof of Concepts (POCs) to illustrate how cutting-edge technologies can be incorporated and enhance Client's technology offerings
- Build and Test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
- Manage CI/CD Tools within the Team
- Follow the DevOps standard methodologies established by platform team
- Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations
- Operations and Technology:
- Heavy experience in design, implementation and migration to AWS
- Heavy understanding of Automation and CloudFormation
- Demonstrates experience with software development languages, tools and methodologies
- Demonstrates experience presenting technical material to both technical and non-technical clients
Key Skill Set:
- Advocate and define cloud architecture vision from a strategic perspective, including internal and external platforms, tools, and systems
- Establish, maintain, and review architectural models with a focus on microservices in a cloud environment
- Provide leadership in adherence to processes (i.e., design walk through and approval processes, Platform / System documentation, change management, SDLC, etc.) Drive scope definition, requirements analysis, functional and technical design, application build, product configuration, unit testing, and production deployment for cloud platform projects
- Support and mentor less experienced technical staff
- DevOps/Platform background (AWS, Cloud Formation, Terraform, Kubernetes, Linux/Bash, Docker, CI/CD).
