Data Architect / Developer Work Locations: Primary:, NJ and secondary location for consideration Irving, TX Job Description & Requirements: Data Architect / Developer with minimum of 6+ years of overall experience. Minimum 3 years of Tableau or ODI (any ETL) experience or Hadoop experience. Strong SQL and stored procedure experience. Strong analytical and data analysis. Ability to analyze and document complex business processes and transform into application level requirements; Ability to make effective decisions under pressure; Ability to gather and interpret relevant data and information. Primary responsibility is the ongoing support and administration of database software systems. - Plan, coordinate, and administer database systems, including base definition, structure, documentation, long range requirements, operational guidelines and protection - Provide database expertise to the software development team in the design, development and maintenance of the core database - Develop cross validation rules to ensure mapping accuracy - Collaborate with vendors and internal management to help drive implementation of data migration with the mapping of data used in custom web metric reporting tools and dashboards - 3+ years in a database SQL / PLSQL - Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent education and work experience is required - Other software the applicant should be familiar with include, Java, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Access, and Excel), Windows Operating Systems, Windows Server Applications (IIS, Cluster Administrator, Terminal Services), Miscellaneous Support Tools (Crystal Reports, WinZip, FTP) - Excellent project management skills and written and verbal communication skills Top 3 requirements: 1) ETL / ODI tool 2) Hadoop tools 3) Tableau / BI tools Required Skills & Experience: - Needs a minimum of 6-10+ years’ experience - BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience preferred - Tableau development - Hadoop tools - SQL/PLSQL development - Python script - Experience of reporting tools / reports testing - Advanced SQL usage - Experience of UNIX servers - Complete awareness of OS and variety of commands - Ability to read and test UNIX shell scripts Telecom business knowledge. 7-10 years of experience Desired Skills: - Experience with internally developed client applications along with certain Vendor supplied such as Telecordia is a plus.
