It wasn't a matter of if Brian Motley would commit to Alabama; it was a matter of when he would commit. "I called Coach [Paul] Randolph today and he put Coach Shula on a three-way," says Motley, a 6-2, 274-pound OL/DL from Autaugaville. "I told them I was ready to go ahead and commit to Alabama. They were both very excited."
Motley got early offers from Troy and UAB. He was also drawing interest from Auburn, Illinois and Southern Miss, among others. But when Motley received an offer from the Crimson Tide staff this past weekend at Bama's camp, his decision became pretty easily. "All of my life I've just always wanted to play for Alabama," Motley says. "I love Alabama, so I feel like that's where I needed to go." As a junior, Motley earned Class 1A All-State honors for his efforts on the offensive and defensive lines for Autaugaville. "Alabama hasn't said whether I'll play offense or defense yet," Motley says. "I'll play either side of the ball. I don't care. It makes no difference to me. I just want to play." Motley becomes the fourth high school prospect to commit to Alabama, joining defensive back Tremayne Coger of Columbia, TN, safety Andy Davis of Briarwood Christian and linebacker Charlie Higgenbotham of Mountain Brook. Bama also has commitments from two junior college players, wide receiver Nikita Stover of Itawamba CC and defensive end Jerami Holifield of MW Mississippi CC. _______________________________________________ RTF mailing list RTF@rolltidefan.net http://rolltidefan.net/mailman/listinfo/rtf_rolltidefan.net
