The Salsa project <http://salsa.usu.edu/> at Utah State University has developed an open source syllabus application for higher education. We are integrated with the Canvas LMS <http://instructure.com/>, and will add integrations with other learning management systems as we grow. In particular, we have Moodle <http://moodle.org/> institutions that want a direct integration.
We have a licensing agreement in place with USU to commercially develop this product. After 18 months at the Center for Innovative Design & Instruction <http://cidi.usu.edu/> funded byUSTAR <http://ustar.usu.edu/>, we are bootstrapping through custom development projects and will be offering paid service agreements starting in February 1.
